The first step we are taught in any spiritual practice is letting go of your thoughts. Realizing that thoughts are just like clouds in the sky, is the first step. Just being a witness and and not getting associated with the thoughts is the first step in freeing yourself from identifying yourself with the thoughts. That means, no more roller coaster ride in emotions, feeling up or down based on the thoughts that you have. I am sure being a spiritual seeker, all of you, reading this post, are quite aware of all these.
Now Seth tells something which is beyond this. He asks us to follow these thoughts and see where it goes. This is very similar to the concept of Lucid dreaming, where you are aware of your dreams even though you may be sleeping. That is, being a witness to what’s happening in the dream, without assuming what is happening in the dream to be real.
Now remember, following a thought doesn’t necessarily mean, getting involved with the thought, let alone getting entangled in it. Being a witness, watch where the thought is going. This may help you find other realms, which you thought did not exist.
