Today while I was standing in the bus stop waiting for my cab to arrive and the big billboard right opposite to where I stand again caught my attention. It now had a girl in churidar and it was very nice design and I looked at it. Until the last time, I came to the bus stop, the mall had this big ad poster, almost 50 feet high ( 5 floors high) of a teenage girl wearing very small shorts. I know that it’s her choice to wear what she wants and nobody should have an issue about it. Fact of the matter is, I don’t any issues with that, but I somehow felt bad seeing her like that. But since today they changed that to a grown up lady in churidar, I somehow felt better.
Yesterday in the Malayalam movie, ‘The last supper’, Unni mukundan is shown smoking and drinking. You can fake drinking scene by using color water, but as far as I know it’s almost impossible to fake smoking scenes. I felt a pain going through my heart for all the actors who have to subject themselves to nudity or smoking in films.
I know all these may sound crazy to you, but I really feel sorry for people who have gotten into any forms of addiction, including alcohol or drugs. I know it’s their choice and that I don’t have to bother about it, but I believe this is something I cannot and do not want to change in myself.
