Prisoner of the mind

If you are prisoner of the mind, then you are inside a prison which you cannot see touch or smell. You almost feel like, you are fighting against yourself.

But the good news is, help is at hand. Believe in the extra ordinary. Find out what pains your soul and avoid it as much as possible. Connect with yourself as well as with others. Make prayer and mediation a daily habit.

If you don’t belive in any of these, try it for sometime and let the results speak for themselves. After all, the truth has to set you free

Reminds me of the verses from Bible, John 8:32 – 8:36

(Joh 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

(Joh 8:33) They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

(Joh 8:34) Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

(Joh 8:35) And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

(Joh 8:36) If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

And as stated by Swami Sivananda in The Moksha Gita

2, 3. Mind is a bundle of Vasanas (subtle desires). Through Vasanas bondage is caused. Destruction of Vasanas will bring freedom. The mind will attain quiescence like a gheeless lamp if the Vasanas are destroyed.4. Just as a silk-worm is caught in its own cocoon, so also man is caught in this vast net of Samsara by his own Sankalpas and Vasanas.

The day this weaving stop, the weaving of the prison around us, we will truly be liberated.
