All surfaces reflect light
All surfaces reflect every other object around them. You way wonder how ? You do agree that, you are able to see your own face reflected, only in a mirror, because it absorbs very less light ( The scientific explanation differs a bit ). But the fact is, all objects, even the person, who is standing in front of you, also reflects your body and face, but in a very subtle level.
All objects leave their impression on the other object
Again, here too, when the someone does a tattoo, on his /her body, the ink leaves a permanent mark on your body, even after several years. Similarly every person, you look at and the situation you are in, leaves a permanent, yet subtle ( hard to notice or observe ) impression on your body and mind.
When a Buddha stands in front of you, he stands there as a sum total all the truthfulness, knowledge and bliss that he has experience, and you see beauty there. Whereas if he had tattooed himself with negative emotions, lies and deceits, at a spiritual level, you may ‘feel’ those impressions and do not feel anything in his presence
Make sure, you surround yourself with people whom you like to reflect and whose impression you would want to leave on your body, mind and soul.
As Jesus said,
Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you.
John 12:35See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”
