About Knowledge
Supporting knowledge: You should pursue knowledge at any cost. Swami Vivekananda was a great teacher who asked people to pursue knowledge for spiritual attainment.
Not supporting knowledge: Knowledge is like baggage. The more you learn, the more you need to carry it around, wherever you go. And it becomes a hindrance to reach spiritual attainment. Because for Nirvana, you have to let go of everything
Actually the concept has some truth in it. It’s not really about knowledge itself. People who try to seek knowledge just to show how much they know, it becomes baggage for them. Whereas people who use it purely to get their questions answered, get themselves helped out of the well of ignorance.
God with form
Believing in personal God with a form : Ramakrishna was an ardent supporter of God with form. He believed that having a form, helps us connect with God in a better way
Believe in God without form
The biggest problem worshipping God with form is that it becomes the question of ‘Your God’ and ‘My God’ and so on. Religious Wars, crusades, and Jeehads all arose out of the need to prove whose God is the right one.
But at another level, for most spiritual seekers, not having a form, to begin with, could be a major hindrance in connecting with a higher power
